TGIF, gals! Sad I'm a little hella behind with blogging today, but it was one of those days where every fiddling thing took longer than usual. Don't you lot detest it when that happens?

So, about final night! — thanks for helping me figure out my lipstick for the Saks Fifth Avenue event! I ended up wearing a mix (yup, a mix) of Chanel's Porto Rotondo and Lipari Aqualumiere.

I gotta give it upwards to the 30-something girls who can all the same political party similar rocks stars on school nights considering I sure can't. One of my BFF's, C-Money, was my plus i for the evening, and subsequently the bear witness we went out for a tardily dinner. Past the time I got habitation it was almost midnight, and I was totally wiped out (I'thousand usually comatose past and so!).

That'south one of my BFF'southward, C-Coin. Nosotros've been friends for over 20 years!

Needless to say, I tin can't come-on-milk shake-shake-it like I did in my 20s. To all Thursday night partiers everywhere — PROPS!

Anyhoo, last night'south Saks fashion outcome was pretty fun. It was a mini-spring show hosted by the bodacious blogging babes over at Fab Sugar.

They had the models stand on lilliputian blocks instead of a runway, and and then the spectators walked effectually checking out the clothes, drinking (free cocktails) and non-so-quietly rocking out to a killer '80s music mix.

I liked that you could get so close to the apparel. I honey big, glitzy rail shows, but sometimes when you actually want to see the clothes at that place'south someone with big hair sitting in front of y'all.

I was hoping to win a Marc Jacobs purse they gave abroad in a raffle, but no such luck. I pray information technology went to a proficient abode…

Saks puts on mini-style events like this one every and so often. Yous tin can notice out well-nigh upcoming local events on the Saks Fifth Avenue website.

The whole fourth dimension I was at the show I was surrounded by expensive spring purses and shoes. Dude, information technology was totally like teasing a dog with bacon. Even though everything was out of my toll range, it was yet a lot of fun to window store.

The purses were all nearly colour, similar the violet Marc by Marc Jacobs purse ($500) shown up pinnacle.

And yellow was in the business firm. I couldn't stop drooling over the Morning Afterwards Mini purse by Rebecca Minkoff ($550). Toting it around would be similar having a fiddling slice of sunshine on your arm.

Check out the aureate hardware detailing on the side. Ohmigosh, SO CUTE!

There were plenty of rich blues and teals, too, like this patent leather Picador slingback heel by Christian Louboutin ($625).

I saw this cobalt blueish and white Lightning dress by Diane Von Furstenberg on one of the models and wanted to have information technology home…

…but the $365 price tag scared me away.

What practice you call up near these vivid hats? Is information technology only me, or is the hot pink one in the middle kinda Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's?

I tried it on but couldn't see a damn thing in it, LOL! Not super practical.

While Brights totally ruled, at that place were some neat blackness pieces, too, like these black patent sandals by Chanel ($1,300) with attachment detailing on the back. They're anything only basic. Love 'em!

And can you imagine how tall you'd look in these platform cork sandals by Prada ($700)?

My friend C-Money isn't really a bag person. She kept giving me crap for liking this black and gilt Rebecca Minkin Stud Devotee bag ($700). I judge it's borderline over-the-top (code word for tacky), but I thought it was kinda cute.

She did, nonetheless, approve of this very sweet blackness handbag past Kooba ($480). 🙂

Besides getting the chance to hang with my pal and drool over accessories I can't beget, I got the random run a risk to meet a few MBB readers, like Emily from Pleasanton. What's up, Em?!

Spending a weeknight out reminded me that it'due south fun to modify my regular routine every in one case in a while. I think I'chiliad going to try harder over the next few months to do new things like this more often.
